El 2021 arrancó con todo en el IPC de Palm Beach con la realización de la Joe Barry Memorial. Se jugó, el primero de los dÃas la Bobby Barry Cup, entre PB Equine y Beverly Polo, con victoria del primero por 13-11. Acto seguido se volvieron a enfrentar
ya por el inicio del Joe Barry Memorial 2021 con un emocionante partido de tiempo extra en el campo de Isla Carroll East en el International Polo Club Palm Beach. Tolito Ocampo jugó el papel de héroe, convirtiendo un difÃcil cogote para asegurar la victoria 12-11 para Beverly Polo. Asà las cosas marchaban con ambos equipos igualados.
DÃas más tarde llegó el debut de Santa Clara, con dúos de padre e hijo de Magrini y Escobar. En su primer juego de la temporada se destacó liderado por los jóvenes Keko Magrini y Lucas Escobar, que terminaron con cuatro y cinco goles, respectivamente, para la emocionante victoria 11-10. Don Ercole Elite, de MatÃas Magrini, se llevó la manta de BPP.
El miércoles 13 de enero se enfrentaron Santa Clara y PB Equine, partido en el que Santa Clara reafirmó ganando por 14-11 lo que habÃa presentado en su debut: un ataque solido. A Santa Clara team featuring father-son duos of Magrini’s and Escobar’s excelled in their first game of the season, led by the young kids, Keko Magrini and Lucas Escobar, who finished with four and five goals, respectively. Shooting an efficient 67 percent from the field, Santa Clara overcame a slow start to challenge a Beverly Polo team that relied on the penalty shooting of Tolito Ocampo and four field goals from Lucas Diaz Alberdi. Late foul trouble for both teams sent the game to the penalty line, but after late penalty conversions for both teams, it was an exciting run by Santa Clara to goal that was completed for the thrilling 11-10 victory. Matias Magrini’s Don Ercole Elite captured Best Playing Pony. Beverly Polo’s Tolito Ocampo was named Most Valuable Player.
