Luego de cinco meses de competencia, cerró la temporada para la Liga del Norte de Inglaterra (The Northen Polo League), el torneo que reúne a todos los clubes norteños jugando ida y vuelta, con el sistema Home and Away. Esta fue la primera edición de la competencia y culminó con gran éxito.
Esta competencia que busca organizar el polo bajo de la región, contó con equipos de nivel de entre los 2 y 6 goles de hándicap. La misma fue desde el 24 de mayo hasta el 15 de septiembre y participaron los
equipos: Touslton Polo Club, Beverly Polo Club, White Rose, Leadenham Polo Club, Rutland Polo Club y Cheshire Polo Club.
En cuantos a resultados, hay que decir que en el primer puesto se ubicó White Rose formado por Adam Russell, James Haigh, Nick Barraclough y Bauti Funes, quien culminó la competencia con todos sus partidos ganados. En cuanto al segundo lugar, fue para Touslton Polo Club, mientras que en la tercera ubicación finalizó Leadenham Polo Club.
"Esperamos que el año que viene se sumen más equipos y más niveles también. Fue muy positivo poder sumar partidos durante la semana, lo cual es un aspecto algo nuevo para el bajo hándicap y mas para el norte de Inglaterra, donde siempre se jugo solo fines de semanas" comentó Francisco Stuven Ortelli creador de la liga y también mentor de Bramham Polo Academy.
De esta manera culmina la primera edición de la Northen Polo League, algo nuevo que surgió al norte de Inglaterra y que desde Prensa Polo pudimos ayudar para que la organización sea de la mejor forma posible. Desde este medio le comentamos a su creador ciertos parámetros del sistema difundido por el Circuito Polo Sur en la Argentina, que conocemos desde sus primeros dÃas e ideas como el formato de la Copa Anfitriones. Con tiempo, Fran le fue dando forma durante el invierno y el inicio de la agenda de trabajo estuvo marcada principalmente por juntar a los equipos, hablar a la vez con los patrones y los profesionales, incentivarlos, y luego buscar sponsors y tratar que se sume mucha gente y clubes.

After five months of competition, the season closed for The Northen Polo League, the tournament that brings together all the northern clubs playing home and away, with the Home and Away system. This was the first edition of the competition and it ended with great success.
This competition, which seeks to organize the low polo in the region, had teams of level between 2 and 6 goals of handicap. The competition was held from May 24 to September 15 and the following teams participated:
Touslton Polo Club, Beverly Polo Club, White Rose, Leadenham Polo Club, Rutland Polo Club and Cheshire Polo Club.
In terms of results, the first place went to White Rose (Adam Russell, James Haigh, Nick Barraclough and Bauti Funes), who finished the competition with all their matches won. Second place went to Touslton Polo Club, while Leadenham Polo Club finished in third place.
"We hope that next year more teams and more levels will join in as well. It was very positive to be able to add matches during the week, which is something new for the low handicap and more for the north of England, where it was always played only on weekends," said Francisco Stuven Ortelli, creator of the league and also mentor of Bramham Polo Academy.
Thus culminates the first edition of The Northen Polo League, something new that emerged in the north of England and that from Prensa Polo we could help to make the organization the best possible way. From this media we commented to its creator certain parameters of the system spread by the South Polo Circuit in Argentina, which we have known since its early days and ideas such as the format of the Host Cup. With time, Fran was shaping it during the winter and the beginning of the work agenda was mainly marked by gathering the teams, talking to the skippers and professionals, encouraging them, and then looking for sponsors and trying to get a lot of people and clubs to join.
