Pasó la primera etapa de la Virginia United Polo League, con seis equipos divididos en dos brackets disputando el torneo JUNE 6 Goal. Los partidos se jugaron en Beverly Equestrian, Kingland y Foxlease Farm. La Liga durará hasta septiembre, para equipos de 6, 8 y 12 goles y fue creada para unificar el polo en Kingland, Foxlease y Beverly, en Virginia.
Jornada final. Copa en alto para Greenhill / Morgan Stanley
Resumen de un gran domingo de polo! Con algunos juegos muy buenos comenzó una nueva era de Virginia Polo. Se cerró junio con los Tigres festejando ganando la obtención de la Open League. Felicitaciones a Debbie Nash por el premio MVP y a Jessica Martin por el BPP a "Cabra". El domingo comenzó con Woodrow y Beverly luchando en las finales de Fauquier, con victoria para el primero y en otra final emocionante, por la Copa Loudon, Fusia se impuso por medio gol a Kingland. Gran trabajo de y también felicitaciones para el MVP Hilario Figueras. Por último, la final de la JUNE 6 Goal. Dragonfly / Pineapple comenzó con goles consecutivos y una ventaja temprana, pero que Greenhill / Morgan Stanley supo responder de inmediato achicando la distancia. El resto del juego mostró mucha acción de ambos lados, hasta que Greenhill logró imponer su juego y coronarse. MVP resultó Juan Sánchez. El equipo campeón se completó con Cristina Parr, Rebekah Greenhill y Justo Mouriño. El polo no se detiene en Virginia y ya se palpita la Open League de julio! Los esperamos
Full pics and summary from Sunday polo, by Virgina United League After a polo filled weekend finished the month of June with some very close games and a good start to a new era of Virginia Polo.
The day started the close of the month with the Tigers winning the Shenandoah finals of the June Open League, congrats to Debbie Nash on winning MVP and Jessica Martin for winning BPP with her wonderful "Cabra.” Sunday started with Woodrow and Beverly battling it out in the Fauquier Finals, Beverly was ahead most of the game but Woodrow showed some excellent team work and came out with the win. Our Loudon Finals was just as exciting with non stop goals back and forth between Fusia and Kingland. It was a close game, Kingland's gerorge krabbe scored to win the game but unfortunately he was 1 second late, the bell rang and Fusia took the win by half a goal. Congrats to Hilario Figueras on winning MVP.
Our June 6 Goal finals was yet another close one, Dragonfly/Pineapple started with back to back goals getting an early lead, but Greenhill/Morgan Stanley answered back right away tying it up. The rest of the game showed lots of fast paced action with full field runs from both sides but Greenhill/Morgan Stanley came out on top and were crowned June's 6 goal Champions. Congrats to Juan Sanchez on MVP.
